Measuring Hotel Online PerformanceMy Performance
Some of you have already noticed that there is a new section in the AccuBook Extranet called My Performance. This compares how your property is performing against other AccuBook Hotels in your region (You can see your own position ie number 22 out of 55, you can see which properties are in your group, but you cannot of course see the position of the other properties in the group).

This is the first year we have done this, and we are still tweaking the 'algorithm', but basically it measures all the factors that we consider important for building traffic and bookings to the website (below are most of the criteria we use).

Congratulations to the category winners;

UK - BEST WESTERN PLUS Dover Marina www.dovermarinahotel.co.uk
Dublin - Drury Court Hotel www.drurycourthotel.ie
Republic of Ireland (Outside Dublin) – 4 Star Villa Rose Hotel & Spa www.villarose.net
France - Hotel De Savoie - www.hoteldesavoie.fr

This is not an exact science, but we are impressed ourselves to see that the properties that are scoring high tallies pretty well with the hotels that have the highest levels of direct online business.

At this point it is perhaps worth clarifying that if you are a new property you will start out with a low score and if you are not using an AccuBook website (ie a Wordpress Website) we cannot provide you with any accurate measurements. We expected to see that smaller properties would be automatically disadvantaged, but strangely enough this is not the case.

As ever any feedback on this is welcome.
